My entry for the BB5 Competition @ renoise.com
(guess this one got a little to long)
however...
Don´t know, if I managed to keep this track within the rules, but atleast I´ve finished something here.
As usual these days, this one is quite an epic trancer once again. Putted some effort to create my own patches aswell. Other than that, you´ll also find some Samples from Reason´s Factory and Orkester Refill.
Effects and whalesounds are randomly downloaded from the net for abusing in here. Haven´t checked for copyright issues at all but then again according to the quality and the fact, that they were available for download, makes me thinking, that it should be alright.
However... hope you won´t mind the serious faults, I made here and there. (ie. poppy samplelooppoints and don´t get me started about the pianochannel and the NNA´s :D ).
Well, it´s a competition track after all... ;)

Intro a bit too simple and too long for my taste, put me off somewhat. When the second set of bells and the piano came in, things started to get prettier, but that segment overall was definitely too long. The rest is, well, generic trance - a genre that needs to be liked first to be enjoyed, so it didn't sit very well with me ;] . All in all, nice technique, but the music felt too generic for me to be lifted.
That, and i absolutely hate synth pizzicatos, so you basically stepped onto one of my worst pet peeves in this kind of music. Sorry! ;) |
